  3. Connecting to Seneca’s IRC Channel

Alright, let’s begin.

Launch Firefox and go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7. This page is the Add-ons for Firefox main page. Here you will find the latest and most popular add-ons for Firefox.

1. Downloading and Installing the ChatZilla Firefox Add-on

Type in “ChatZilla” into the “search for add-ons” textbox and click on the green play button or press enter. When the search is finished loading, locate Chatzilla and click on the “Add to Firefox” button.

A Firefox Software Installation Window will appear. Click on the “Install Now” button to install ChatZilla. Once ChatZilla has finished installing restart Firefox.

2. Setting up your user name

Once Firefox has finished restarting, click on the “Tools” menu option along the menu bar and select “ChatZilla” to launch ChatZilla.

When ChatZilla has finished loading, click on the “ChatZilla” menu option along the menu bar and select “Preferences”.

Select “Global Settings” and under the “General” tab type your IRC nickname into the Nickname textbox, then click “OK”

Alright, you are ready to chat.
